performance spaces are starting to announce their fall seasons and i'm really looking forward to checking out some of the performances at the mca and the walker. i wish there was more going on in the midwest, but i'm excited to see the new projects from superamas, ralph lemon and sarah michelson.

my husband and i just got back from a spontaneous trip to michigan. we went to benton harbor/st. joseph and ann arbor. in st. joseph, we loved the slightly hidden, beachfront tiscornia park. an excellent spot for a picnic on the sand dunes, surrounded by beachgrass. in ann arbor, we visited zingerman's deli and thought it was great great great. also if you love vintage furniture and objects, treasure mart is not to be missed.
