i love these two interior shots.
completely inspiring.
(found over here)

also this week, i am obsessed with the various possibilities of the construction, shape and materials of the humble task lamp. we just bought a very inexpensive one for our desk at home and we love it. its clean-lined, straight-forward and (if this makes sense) honest. i'm always thrilled at how satisfying it is to find exactly the right thing at exactly the right price. expensive does not always mean better.

oh! and yesterday i had a super great lunch with yen and michi of front studio and their friend maggie. it was really lovely to get a chance to meet and talk with such a wonderful group of super smart, talented and funny ladies! i hope we get to do that again sometime soon!

so much beauty and simplicity in the ceramics of architect albano daminato.

very different, but also beautiful is the five senses line by kahla. the pieces in this collection remind me of a sugar bowl and milk jug that i bought at the likus concept store when we were in poland last year.

i'm loving all this interesting lighting from david weeks.

i'm a big fan of the design work of tamara shopsin and so i was thrilled when i heard her new triangle-inspired, slightly halloween-celebrating, super fun and quirky cards were now available in the shop.

these glass chandeliers by lindsey adelman are so gorgeous.
i can't stop looking at them.

i'm feeling the same way about finn juhl's house today.
so much inspiration in there.

camera crowd is also beautiful.

i love this stark, striking candle holder (spied in the great new issue of blueprint) by sebastien bergne for ENO. his other work is interesting too.

third drawer down (a long-time favorite of mine for inexpensive, quirky art that can double as household linens) will begin offering pillowcases in september and as usual, they're collaborating with some stellar artists, including camilla engman (who's work is above). excellent stuff!

lately, i've spent a good bit of time browsing the vintage finds on etsy. i like how looking for things over there is sort of like a treasure hunt. you can find the utensils above in the shop of one of my favorite sellers, deadbird finds.

oh and i kinda love this zachary rossman print called black mountain diseased & cut into three sections....there's also a short film.

i've written before about mi workshop, but it is definitely worth mentioning again. there are a few beautiful, new things to see there too.
