this weekend, the boy and i went out to storm king to see the landscape of native grasses and trees and to see the amazing sculptures. it was really an inspiring experience to be out in nature and encountering these massive, beautiful pieces of art. one of my favorites is pictured above, andy goldsworthy's storm king wall. i also loved richard serra's schunnemunk fork, the odd and dark sarcophagi in glass houses by magdalena abakanowicz, and menashe kadishman's suspended (which is so so dramatic in person).
if you live in the city, be sure to get to some green and some sky for a while.
