i have a secret. i'm a little obsessed with the sundance catalog.
its got a little bit of everything - all rustic, simple, handcrafted. with a minimalist's eye, you can find lots of really interesting and beautiful things for your home and to wear. i'm always surprised by more than a handful of items each season.

i'm sort of sick of "hip" graphic t-shirts.
at this point, it takes something really interesting to get my attention.

kadorable has done it (...the subscription is worth every penny. you've never seen t-shirt colors like these...and the designs are perfect).

salvor has done it (...they are the last word in fauna).

a few others.

now starstyling.
interesting, casual, street...t-shirts, sweatshirts and such.

i really love bodum.

they offer really well-made kitchen and table-top items that are not only nice to look at, but they are totally affordable and quite perfect for the wear and tear that can come from everyday use. their coffee presses really can't be beat and their corona glasses have a wonderful weight and are really a joy to drink from - we have tons of them in different sizes at our house. now that the boy is working over near their meatpacking district store in manhattan, i got a chance to stop by again (after not having dropped by in quite a while) and they have some nice new additions. my favorite is the canteen, a double wall carafe with a cork stopper. its so sleek and simple and chic (much prettier in person) and its definitely on my wish list.

blogging can be a wonderful thing - the exploring and the sharing. i love the exchange of information and passing of inspiration and sources for beautiful things.

these henry road napkins are so very perfect for me.

a familiar story.
brooklyn design duo makes good.
yep, really good.
sariah carson and jaylin potter create beautiful garments with simple shapes, but meticulous detail.

yet another post that got lost in the fray, way back when.

a most excellent mug from chatchada, which also happens to be a most excellent source for beautiful kitchenware.
(thanks for the reminder, not cot)

i can't remember if i wrote about canadian wonder duo bookhou before, but its a must. john booth and arounna khounnoraj's designs are a great affordable addition to the home (and they make great bags too).

also...the periodic posts on shaker homes over at apartment therapy are making me very happy.

i love books. not just for reading, but also for their value as objects. the way they smell, feel in the hand, the imprint of ink on paper - there is something so satisfying about the tactile experience of a well-made book.
a friend mentioned to me about cloverfield press and i am over the moon about them. their gorgeous little limited edition books featuring unique illustrations and letterpress covers are like little pieces of art.
what an amazing treat!

lovelovelove mav's new card...
...and jessica's gocco print is beautiful too
(as well as benefiting an excellent cause - get one here)

oh and also, the boy and i are currently contemplating moving.
to those of you in brooklyn: any good leads on great places?

amy shutt over at day-lab has it just right with this wonderful coral branch necklace. i've been looking all over for a great long necklace and this just might be it.

i'm also thrilled about philip crangi's new line, giles & brother, especially the mixed chain bracelets and necklaces (see and buy some of the line here).
